You guys gave me easy to understand options so I didn't have to buy the Cadillac plan when a Chevy would work just fine.

The industry is notorious for "packing" options that we customers have to take time to "unpack" in order to get what is best for our needs.

We always use CSA travel insurance when we travel during hurricane season. We are happy with the coverage and the service.

CSA provides excellent coverage for travel insurance protection. We filed a small claim for medical assistance received onboard our cruise. It was reviewed and paid promptly.

For the price, it offered 95% of what we wanted. We were willing to take the gamble on the 5% chance that we wouldn't need it, and fortunately, we didn't. It was easy to read and understand; easy to purchase, and their follow up with the paper work was prompt.

Like all insurance products, you hope you wasted your money and we did. Nevertheless, our trip was expensive and complicated with lots of opportunity for things to go wrong. To NOT buy trip insurance would have been foolish. Since the cost of trip insurance is age-related, insurance for us is becoming relatively expensive. Eventually, it will become prohibitively so.
We were pleased with how smoothly and quickly the purchase process proceeded. There was a lot of communication and we were given phone numbers beyond the insurance carrier's in case we had problems during the trip. Very reassuring.

While we did not make a claim on our policy, I believe that this policy offered the coverage that was most important to us: trip cancellation and interruption. Of note, one person in our group did have their baggage lost and, luckily, had trip insurance to assist them.

Since I didn't have to use the plan for an insurance claim, I can't give it any credit for being a great plan. Fortunately I didn't have to use it, but felt comfortable that I had some coverage.

I have to say that I am glad I bought trip insurance from CSA Travel Protection as our planned trip along the Aleutian Islands was canceled by the Alaska Marine Ferry. In fact, several sailings were canceled because the ship, the Tustumena, had several unforeseen repair delays while in dry dock for scheduled maintenance. But I also have to say that I am disappointed in CSA Travel Protection as they at first rejected my claim for our trip cancellation. CSA claimed “scheduled maintenance” was not an unforeseen event and therefore not a covered event. Thus they could not reimburse me for our nonrefundable airline tickets. A covered event had to be a “mechanical breakdown” (unforeseen). Though there was no ship for us to sail on, it was my problem and not theirs. I had to contact the Alaska Marine Ferry to confirm to CSA that the several delays were due to unforeseen repairs and not just routine maintenance. Thus with it affirmed that the delays were of a “mechanical breakdown” nature, CSA then approved my claim. I would have thought this would have been a logical conclusion to explain why the sailing cancellations happened. The Alaska Marine Ferry would not have sold passage if the repair delays were “foreseen.” CSA Travel Protection did “come through” and paid my claim but, it left me rather disappointed with CSA’s first response.
