A major shortcoming in this policy is that the premium is non-refundable if the related cruise / travel plans are cancelled prior to the penalty period. That is, if coverage is purchased for a trip 270 days in the future and the trip is cancelled 180 days in the future with no penalty cost, the insurance should be refundable, less a small service charge, because the insurer has not provided any coverage during a risk period, that is there has been no exposure to loss.

I completed a 4 month cruise with Holland A. A number of folks didn't have insurance and that was very unwise. You need insurance..period. I only had a $182 claim...so I was a lucky one with health.
This is something I would like the insurance companies do for us......
I would like to see insurance coverage to be simple with the lost of luggage. If one doesn't show up....PAY $1500...with NO questions asked. It gone..just pay up..period. People don't want insurance because some of the companies make it by design, very difficult to make a claim for lost luggage. Who has a receipt for everything in the bag. Lucky if you have ONE. This would make it simple and more people would buy insurance if they had a good experience with a company. I haven't lost luggage but for 4 months I heard about the nasty stories of people who have lost luggage.
This claim for a sinus infection took 12 days from filing it to getting the check in the mail. I'm happy.

As a frequent traveler, of a certain age, it was wonderful to find a place where we could be insured at a fair price. We had been self insuring, which is sort of scary. Really glad we found you!

It gave us peace of mind while traveling. One passenger had to be evacuated from the ship by helicopter and I sure hope they had coverage because I would hate to see that bill!
