Three of us tested positive for covid during our trip and had to quarantine and delay our return for three days. Our doctors prescribed Paxlovid and we returned home as soon as we tested negative. IMG has used every trick in the book to delay and deny coverage. They are not acting in good faith and repeatedly demand data that has been submitted multiple times. They now will not accept the doctor's message approving Paxlovid and the Paxlovid prescriptions as proof of covid. IMG is demanding the covid test strips. Who has ever saved a used test strip. I have filed a complaint with the California Insurance Commision and it looks like I will have to file a lawsuit to get IMG to live up to their obligations. AVOID IMC AT ALL COST. It is the worst company I have ever dealt with and is causing terrible stress and anxiety.

I wondered if Tropical storm Olivia had hit Oahu while traveling if we would have been reimbursed if we left early. I couldn't find that in the documents. I may have missed it. :)

I think it is ridiculous to offer trip cancellation coverage (cancellation for any reason) but then have a stipulation stating that you can't cancel for any reason unless it's more than 72 hours prior to your trip. If you have an emergency the day before your trip you're not covered.

Thank you very much for your review.
However, we believe that you are confusing Trip Cancellation with the optional Cancel for Any Reason coverage.

Trip Cancellation reimburses you if you must cancel your trip prior to departure for a "covered" reason. The number one covered reason for Trip Cancellation is the unforeseen illness or injury of you or a traveling companion that deems you unfit to travel, by order of a licensed physician; or the unforeseen hospitalization or death of a family member. To see all of the covered reasons to cancel or interrupt your trip, please click on the dollar amount that appears under the words "Trip Cancellation" when viewing a quote.

Cancel for Any Reason allows you to cancel your trip prior to departure for other than a "covered" reason. There are 3 conditions that must be met to purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Rider as follows: Purchase the policy within 10-21 days of First Trip Payment; Insure ALL prepaid and non-refundable travel expenses prior to departure; Trip must be canceled more than 2 days prior to departure date. If you meet all 3 of these conditions, most of the policies will reimburse you for 75% of your penalties, unless otherwise noted.

The Cancel For Any Reason will show under its own box. Please make sure to click on the underlined phrase to view the requirements to qualify for this option. If you decide to buy this Rider, make sure to click on the box near the Cancel For Any Reason Rider and hit the 'buy' button at the top or bottom of the quote. Please note that these policies are State-specific.

In the future, you may wish to call Customer Care at 800-487-9422 for assistance when quoting or purchasing the policy.
