While on vacation in Italy my travel partner came down with a hemorrhaging bladder infection. We called the number for coverage and got a recording, we weren’t impressed, but thought someone would call back in at least an hour. We didn’t hear from anyone until the next day and we had already taken care of the problem by other means. I’m just glad it wasn’t a more serious problem. Completely dissatisfied with this company.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We have passed this information on to the insurance provider. After purchase, IMG emails a purchase confirmation which can be printed and carried with you on the trip. The purchase confirmation includes the 24 hour emergency contact information. This is the phone number that you would want to call while you are traveling. Fortunately, we did not need the insurance but I felt very secure knowing that I would be covered for any emergency. We’ve used this before a few years ago when filing a claim and were very satisfied.

I had no claims. We did experience being pickpocketed on the Milan, Italy subway where my wife lost her cell phone and later I lost a credit card(which I immediately cancelled) and some cash. However there was no way to document these losses for which lost baggage coverage did not apply. Your service seems much less expensive than equivalent coverage offered by tour operators and fellow travelers have been happy with it.

My only complaint is that the claims process moves very slowly. I submitted all of the requested documentation and then on day 28 they requested more information - all of which (except for my bank account number) they already had. I sent all of that info the same day I received the request and my claim was finally settled on day 62. During this very long wait there was no way to get any information on the status of my claim. The settlement was fair, but definitely not prompt.
