Wish there was a way to determine the overall health and general physical condition of people purchasing travel insurance instead of just age. Being frequent travelers, we have seen people on our trips who could barely walk up a flight of stairs. Even though we are "older"....68 and 74....we are very physically active and in good shape (knock on wood) and would have to have a very serious incident to ever cancel a trip. Does past claims ever come into consideration when determining rates or is an individual history too complicated?

Unfortunately, insurance providers are not able to take your individual medical history or your past claim history into account to determine the cost of travel insurance.
