They are a subsidiary of Manulife Financial Corporation, a leading North American-based financial services group. All travel insurance plans offered by John Hancock are underwritten by American Modern Home Insurance Company.

These plans provide insurance benefits built specifically to protect your financial investment in travel. They provide coverages that reimburse for unforeseen covered expenses while you travel – taking the stress away from the added expense of travel concerns and hiccups.

John Hancock plans are built to help reimburse for unforeseen expenses due to covered reasons, but their customer assistance is designed to make that reimbursement process as smooth as possible.

The agency that handled this claim, Seven Corners, was extremely slow in processing. After I filed the claim online, there was no communication from them until I initiated it. Would not purchase a John Hancock travel policy again, there are too many other better choices.

We always take out trip insurance. We have used Hancock twice now. Fortunately we have not had to use it so cannot testify on how they respond under those circumstances. However, the coverage is what we need and the price as good as we could find.

It was comforting knowing we were covered for certain events, but feel the price was too high for benefits, considering the probability we would need to file a claim. Not sure we would purchase again.
