The purchasing process was straight forward and price for the coverage chosen was fair. Fortunately I did not have a need to use the insurance policy so I cannot truly rate satisfaction. The satisfaction rating would be applicable if I actually need to use the plan. I would use Insure My Trip again.

Our trip was canceled in Nov. 2017 by our travel tour company, who closed their co.
It took us until March 2018, after many phone converrsations, letters, copies of contracts, etc that it was finally agreed we deserved our monies we paid for our trip that was canceled for us, not by us.
Until this time we have used John Hancock numerous times with no problems, and would recommend.

I received compensation in 2 checks. Each was accompanied with a notation that a letter of explanation would follow. These letters should have accompanied the checks. I had to request the first letter, which arrived a month after the first check. Have not yet received the second one.

We chose this plan because it covered additional travel after the cruise, which was not possible with the cruise line's insurance (it ended when the cruise ended). The price was a bit higher but worth it. We had a small claim, which we are told will be paid. Overall, a positive experience.

We bought this insurance to protect a large investment in a very special European vacation. We were concerned about possible severe weather events, labor issues in the countries we visited, as well as potential health issues and the usual risks of delayed flights and missed connections. Thankfully, our trip went well and we did not have to file a claim, but we were glad we didn't have to worry about unexpected and unavoidable problems.
