I called the company with a concern about a possible travel issue. Fortunately, I didn't need to file a claim, but I was impressed with the representative. He clearly explained the benefit available.

Easy to compare plans and select the one I needed. Easy to add additional coverage as I added costs to my trip such as airfare, etc. I didn't need to file a claim, so I can't comment on that process.

FIrst time I had to use my travel insurance I had two canceled flights and had to stay overnight. I used this insurance to cover part of my costs. Air Canada refused to cover my entire hotel cost after having to stay overnight. It was easy to submit a claim. Not a long wait and I received an email for additional documentation (just my original boarding passes). Wasn't a long wait after that, I received a check for the amount I requested.

After having an issue during a previous trip outside the US, this plan gave us peace of mind that we had the right coverage if it was needed. Obtaining it on-line was easy and quick and the materials were comprehensive.

Purchased plan to be reimbursed for cruise ports if missed. Plan did not cover this and was I not given the proper information before purchasing the policy that this was not covered. Very disappointed. Will purchase future policy with another company that has covered this in the past.

Thank you for your feedback. You did purchase the Nationwide Essentials policy which does not cover missed ports. However, coverage for missed ports would have been provided under one of the Nationwide Cruise plans.
