I experienced a sinus infection on the cruise and it was necessary to see the ship's doctor which resulted in a charge for his services. Upon contacting Nationwide I was told it would be necessary to document denial from my primary care policy before I could submit a claim to Nationwide. Primary care company said Nationwide would need to submit the claim to them so I received conflicting information. The charge was minimal but the amount of paper work involved is a hassle. I feel for someone who would be dealing with a serious, stressful problem.

Fortunately, we didn't need to file a claim for the Nationwide plan we bought for this trip. For our trip last summer, we had to cancel an expensive cruise two weeks before we were to leave due to my health problems. Nationwide paid every penny of the claim I filed ( the entire cost of the cruise) within 3 weeks - no hassles or questions. And representatives were very helpful with forms and information to help me file my claim. So I'm a customer for life!

I use your site to compare and purchase coverage for all of my trips, and Nationwide seems to provide the best deal, not just reasonable price, but generous coverage as well. I didn't file a claim on this trip, but I did once before and was satisfied with their response.
