Due to a sudden acute illness of one of our party of three, travel plans were cancelled. We all recovered every penny insured. The insurance paid after the arlines, hotels and cruise lines issued their refunds. Once those requests were settled, Nationwide had its own claim requirements.
We all agreed that the insurance was totally worthwhile. Highly recommend keeping a copy of every single purchase for travel, including tickets, itineraries, charges and payments on credit card statements, and whatever refunds are made.

As a licensed insurance agent it was not difficult for me to compare plans. Nationwide had the coverage that fit my situation best plus a good price. Unable to rate it a 5 since no claims were filed, but it provided good peace of mind.

I don't think the questions are fair. I didn't file a claim and therefore, don't know how good the insurance coverage would have been.The policy covered peace of mind

Everything seemed OK since we did not have to make a claim (the true test is when a claim is made and see how the insurance companies react to paying the claims). I am not a big fan of any type of insurance because it is something you need to pay for and hope you do not use it. It would be more reasonable if the insurance companies give back a certain percentage of the premium if it is not used - but I guess that will never happen. If they did, they would just raise the price on the consumer. I would use your company again for my next travel plans because it covers my needs and hope that everything works out if I ever need to make a claim.
