Taking out this insurance gave me the peace of mind I needed to travel this year. Last year a coronary problem caused me to cancel my trip and thanks to my insurance with Seven Corners, I got all of the cost of the trip refunded.

Due to Super Storm Sandy, my airport was closed for a few days and it was uncertain if it would open in time for my flight to the combination land tour and river cruise. But it proved impossible to understand what portions of your contract might apply if the flight was cancelled. Oh, the questions I had: Which applied -- the land tour coverage or the cruise? How much of a delay was needed to meet your requirements? What were my options? Could I cancel the trip entirely? Must I miss several days and pick up the cruise at its next port? Was I to pay for the new connections and later hope for reimbursement? And there was no telephone number to use to contact you to ask.

Fortunately, the airport opened in time to catch our flight, but the experience concerned me enough to make me hesitate to buy Seven Corners insurance in the future. Isn't there some way to write the contract in Plain Language? Wouldn't good customer service require a contact number for your company?

I was pleased with the cost, especially as compared to the plan offered by the cruise line. It was almost 50% less. I also recommended this plan to my seven co-travelers. I believe they all took it, although some had a higher rate than me. I found out about your company by searching the Internet & got an agent who gave me several companies to consider. Yours was the best and I was very comfortable with a recognizable name

Traveled to Florida for a cruise during hurricane Sandy. It was comforting to know I was fully covered should I be unable to make it ship for trip, but disappointed there is no provision to help avoid disaster in advance. There was a major risk of flight cancellations and airport closures on day I was to travel. I considered changing flight plans to make sure I was able to arrive in time for cruise. Very disappointing to find out no additional costs would be covered in I changed plans in advance. I was not looking for reimbursement if original flight was not cancelled. Only looking for help if flight was cancelled. Thankfully all went well, but if airport had closed most likely would not have been able to fly out in time and would have missed cruise. Policy should be changed to avoid this. If my flight had been cancelled whole cruise would have to reimbursed versus $200 flight change.

    It has been a worst experience filing the claim. It took 30 e-mails back and forth to finally have the check for the health care cost for an injury. I think they will play with your time with the hope that you would just forget it one day and kind of forfeit what you are supposed to get.

    Filed the claim on March 2012.
    Had to wait till Sept 25th 2012 to have the amount issued right to my name (I took the insurance for my in-laws, since they don't have account here, they authorized it to my account)

    The claim filing process asked for all authorization and details. Then they asked again. I didn't give up. It was only because of my constant follow-up, I got the amount. I think all these travel insurance companies are fraud. My manager who brought in parents from India had the same thought.

    Will have to join hands with someone to root out this fraud or bring it to the attention of authorities.

Seven Corners Liaison Travel Basic
We have used Seven Corners Insurance numerous times and always have been happy with the plans. They normally work out well for people on Medicare because they offer high medical coverage that could be needed in foreign countries. In one instance we have had to cancel a trip for medical reasons and the company was easy to deal with and we received our refund in a very timely manner.
Seven Corners is always our first choice for inclusive trip and medical insurance.

We did not need the services of Seven Corners because everything went according to plan. We only buy trip insurance in case something happens and in this case, nothing happened!
