We had two visits to the ship's doctor while on a cruise to Croatia. We submitted the paper work for the claims and received the payment we were expecting in 5 weeks. This was the first claim we have ever submitted on a travel insurance policy and we were very pleased the service and results.

We thought we may have a storm delay and may be another night in Rome...that is when I thought of my travel insurance purchase...to reimburse me for an unplanned night at hotel...it did not happen...'just glad I knew I had coverage in case.

The purchase process for our trip insurance was very simple. It's very difficult to evaluate the plan unless you had a claim. We didn't, so we have nothing to rate except the purchase process and cost. Both of which were simple and reasonable. We would make the same purchase again.

We have always looked for travel ex when using overseas and or travel insurance. Their competitive rates and being able to buy it directly helps us in choosing Travelex. Although we have never filed a claim in all the trips travelex has insured, I am sure we will not have any problems If we ever have to do so
