I did not need to use the plan but was glad to have it. My main concern was getting back home if I was injured or otherwise delayed while away, and I thought TravelSafe had the best plan of the ones that I looked at. Unfortunately TravelSafe will only evacuate you if the hospital at your travel destination cannot care for your needs - so I had to sign up for an additional plan that would evacuate me even if the local hospital was able to care for me. It would be nice if TravelSafe would add that evacuation option.

Thank you for your review. You bring up a great point about emergency medical evacuation coverage. Typically, when medically necessary, most insurance providers will take you to the closest hospital that can treat you and then to a hospital in your home city.
