I was devastated when my poor friend broke her leg, and we had to miss our "trip of a lifetime". I, as a traveling companion, submitted a claim. The process went very smoothly, and I was reimbursed for the cost of the trip. Two pieces of advice for fellow travelers: buy trip insurance, and buy it from TruTravel!

This is the second time I have used insuremytrip.com. I haven't had to file a claim either time, but I would use them again because they provide the most comprehensive services for what they charge. I feel that if I ever did have a problem on a trip, insuremytrip.com would be able to resolve my complaint efficiently.

Fortunately we did not have to use the plan but felt the plan would have covered all problems if necessary. This is the second time we have chosen this plan. We also encouraged our daughter to buy the same plan when she traveled to Ireland this summer.

I really do not have any comment either good or bad for we were very fortunate not to have to use it. Although I did feel more at ease for having insurance specifically for the trip in case of any unforeseen troubles.

I was in Bimini when Tropical Storm/Hurricane Sandy breezed up the coast in 2012. This disrupted my WildQuest Trip as we could not go out on the boat for 2 days. My claim was handled professionally. Vicki called to request more information and once I provided it the whole process went smoothly.

I think it's hard to review whether travel insurance is good or bad unless you've needed to file a claim and see how it truly takes care of you when you need it. TruTravel's policy appeared to cover the critical issues I was looking for at a reasonable price but not having needed to use it, I can't really rate it.
