I selected Nationwide because of the higher medical coverage than other companies. You need the medical and evacuation coverage in case you need it. Remember that Medicare only covers you in the United States and its territories. Most Medicare supplemental policies offer $50,000 lifetime of foreign travel medical coverage. Also be aware of what you employers health care covers out of the country. Someone was airlifted from our cruise in Labadee. We have personally talked to people who thought they were covered only to end up paying tens of thousands of dollars for health care out of the country.

Peace of mind knowing that we were covered while on vacation. We did not have to use our plan, but it was nice knowing that if we had to it would be there.
