We were lucky enough to avoid the situations that would require filing a claim but HAVING the plan provided the sense of protection and helped to feel more relaxed and enjoy the trip. I will buy it again next time I travel.

After reviewing several plans with quite a few companies, this one seemed to cover all we needed. Most plans covered trip delay, cancellation, lost luggage. We were going south, real south, on a ship around Cape Horn. We were able to see land (sometimes), but not much more than, well land. We were especially concerned with traveling around Cape Horn...all the what if's: what if we get sick, what if we get really sick, what if we need more medical attention than available on ship, what if we need to be hospitalized. How would we get the care needed in such a desolate, beautiful area? The plan seemed to fit the bill so we wouldn't have to cover such a large bill should the "what if's" actually happen. Happy to report we didn't need to find out and could enjoy our trip without the worries of the "what if's". Thank you.

Since we were on a motor craft exploring coves in British Columbia, Canada, it was important to us to not only have coverage for airfare, but also to have the coverage that would fly a loved one into our location should something catastrophic happen. Knowing we had all of that coverage in place gave a great sense of security to those of us on the trip and to the loved ones at home.

This M.H. Ross plan seemed to provide the most coverage for our trip vs. other companies' plans, which is why we purchased it. When I was comparing plans I not only talked to the reps at InsureMyTrip.com, but I also called M.H. Ross. I have to say that the rep there didn't seem to be that familiar with the elements of the plan(s) I was inquiring about and weren't that interested in being helpful, it felt. Thankfully, we did not have a claim, so I cannot comment on what it'd be like to actually use it.
I do wish that one of these days some travel insurance company would include pets getting sick or passing away as one of the covered reasons for cancelling a trip. Pets are family members, too, and if they have a crisis one might have to cancel or postpone a trip just as if a human family member had a crisis. As it stands now, the only way to get even partial coverage to protect against pet crises is to purchase the "cancel for any reason" option. I surely hope that either M.H. Ross or some other company starts including pets in the list of legitimate reasons someone might have to cancel their trip.
