It took 2 months to settle my claim. The first agent did not understand my request and sent the wrong paperwork. Every correspondence took at least 15 days to get a response. Every call was handled by a message taker who would then send a request to the reviewer for a response.

We have used these insurance plans many times and even have 2 more trips coming up covered by INSUREMYTRIP but never filed a claim before. And yet we have been waiting many weeks for a very small claim we filed in January to be paid. When we call, we are told that all of our information has not been received although we have sent everything asked for. If this case is not resolved soon, we will have to resort to Social Media to alert unsuspecting people about the total disregard of clients' claims. No one I have spoken to who has used other insurers has had the problems we have been having. Be assured that we will not let this drop, which is probably what this company is hoping we do. Maybe the Better Business Bureau should be contacted to help us which we will do if this goes on more than another week.

Plan has good coverage for reasonable cost with 21 day pre-existing exclusion rule which is better than other plans with shorter pre-existing exclusion rules.

Declined coverage of tour canceled by tour operators due to the outbreak of coronavirus. While I was eventually able to recover most funds from tour operators, some related costs were not covered (flights to departure city). Fortunately, the final cost of loss was only around $300, but very disappointed in coverage provided and reaction to request for coverage. Gives a bad name to travel insurance.
