This is the second time I have used this company when traveling. The coverage is very good and the cost is reasonable. Fortunately I have not had any problems while traveling where I have made a claim.
However it certainly puts my mind at ease to have it.

My flight, for which I bought this plan, was canceled by the airline. It has NEVER been the case that I've been unable to claim costs for an airline-cancellation that resulted in a rebooking and other expenses. I was in for a rude shock when I was told by Generali that I should have read the fine print, which does not cover this kind of cancellation. Not only does this assume that I would know ahead of time what kind of trouble I would face, but that also, somehow, a cancellation by the airline itself is a problem that a passenger should bear with equanimity. Ridiculous.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. The plan you purchased includes approximately 20 different covered events under which we can provide coverage. The plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for every event that might cause an interruption. If there is something specific that you want to be sure is covered, feel free to ask about it before you purchase the policy. Please reach out to us at the number or email provided above if you have any additional questions or concerns."

I filed a claim for expenses incurred when a delayed connecting flight caused me to miss a transatlantic flight, resulting in an overnight stay. My expenses were somewhat unusual (visas, COVID testing) so I wasn't sure they would be covered but was happy to be fully reimbursed.

Our cruise was cancelled and we received a full refund from Royal Caribbean. The only money we did not get back was what we paid for insurance. Seems ironic, although we can use the insurance on another trip

Since we had no problems with our vacation, I can't really say wether the policy and customer service were easy to deal with, which is a good thing. But I will use them again as it did give us "some peace of mind" knowing there would be help in reimbursements if our trip went array.
