We booked this 14 night cruise three days prior to sailing. We were not concerned about cancellation. We sailed from our home city, therefore there were no airplane and lost baggage worries. Therefore, be bought this policy which gave us primary medical and evacuation, which is all we cared about covering. Normally, we buy a much more comprehensive policy when we book more in advance and want cancel for any reason coverage, rental car waiver, etc.

Had a unique request: very late enrollment, very old person, wanted coverage limited to just medical/not trip reimbursement. Had I relied only on the website, I would not have easily found the policy that the agent on phone easily did.

This was our first experience with trip insurance. Glad we purchased the plan we did because I lost my job and we were unable to take our vacation as planned. It did take longer than I would have liked to settle the claim, but I suppose it wasn't extraordinary. We received the full amount we submitted. Very happy with InsureMyTrip and TravelSafe and would use again. We recommend.

I'm on the fence here. Buying the insurance is easy, the coverage seems good - I got this one because it didn't exclude scuba diving. The call center was very responsive when I called about a claim (travel related not medical), but I submitted it (by fax) a couple of weeks ago and have heard nothing back. I followed up via email and still nothing. I'll call next week but have to say I'm disappointed that I haven't even had an acknowledgement. At this point I really can't recommend the plan without knowing they'll deliver. I'm about to travel again and am going to choose a different plan.

This is an update to the review where I said I was on the fence about whether I would recommend this product because I was having issues getting a claim reviewed. Within days of my review I was assigned a personal advocate who contacted me by email. I also received a card in the mail advising me that my claim was being processed. My advocate was able to confirm that all documentation had been received and a time-frame to expect an outcome. I received notification on the outcome within the time-frame advised and today I received a check for the full amount I was claiming. As a result, I would recommend this product.
