Travelex Travel Max
baggage was stolen due to rental car break in. They covered the cost of the car damage and most of the stolen items. The only issue was poor customer care and correspondence at times. I had to call/email to make them follow up and send the same receipts/docs more than once bc they did not read it or lost it in email. However, I was reimbursed for most of the stolen items. It took about a month for the entire process.

Travelex Flight Insure Plus
I had one incident. I had to change my plan flight. I contacted insure my trip about the change and they sent Travelex a notification. This was 4 days prior to my travel plans. I was told I would get confirmation about my change and I never did. I had to call to make sure I was covered. I got "it shouldn't be a problem". I would have preferred "It is NOT a problem". Faster response time would have been appreciated.

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
It was 2 1/2 months before the claim was paid which I thought was extremely slow. I felt like the claims reps were more interested in not paying the claim than paying it. Finally the claim was paid in full so it turned out OK.

This company is impossible to reach by anyone trying to find out the status of their claim. My claim was received by them on 9/25/17. In mid-October I called twice to check on the status of my claim, left my number for a promised callback and never received one. I sent three e-mails with no response until I finally received one back on 10/26 saying my claim (with a claim number provided) had been received (one month after it was), stating high claim volume. I checked by e-mail about my claim status once again on 11/9. On 11/15 I finally received an e-mail that CSA would pay my full claim. I received a check on 11/24, two months after they received my claim. Once one has a claim number, there should be a system whereby one could check the claim status online. It was very frustrating not to have any information regarding my claim and to have such difficulty contacting CSA.

    Thank you very much for your comments. You are correct that at this time members do not have the ability to check the status of their claim online. However, we will pass your suggestion onto CSA Travel Protection.

    In the future, you may want to call customer care at InsureMyTrip to ask us to assign an advocate to follow up on your claim.

It seemed to have good coverage at a good price. I did not have to use it however, so I am not sure how the customer service or ease of getting reimbursed would be.
