Just knowing that we have peace of mind if something goes wrong. As I have traveled a couple of times with things that have happened and I did not have insurance. Got caught once in a hurricane. Wilma was a bad time. So I don’t travel without insurance anymore. Thanks for giving me peace of mind.

MedjetAssist Short Term
Ended up upgrading to an annual plan. For a family, cost is reasonable and coverage is great when traveling internationally. Customer service was very friendly and responsive to any questions.

I liked the plan we got from Insuremytrip. It was easy to compare and find the right plan for us two old foggies. Luckily, we didn’t have to use it, but on other trips in the past my husband had to go to the hospital for his heart and that plan reimbursed us for the ambulance, emergency room, three day hospital stay, doctors’ fees, and a few other things that were also covered in the plan with no problem. At this stage in the game, we never travel internationally without buying insurance for preexisting condion coverage with medical evacuation coverage.

    The policy you have purchased only covers a single trip, starting the day you leave your home until the day you return back home. This policy does not cover multiple trips. However, Allianz does not charge you based on the length of your trip. If you were to travel for a month-long period or two, the cost would not change based on those dates.

I filed a claim to recover over $400 in airline ticket costs because the US State Dept issued a Travel Advisory warning for that portion of Mexico......I was denied and told that cartels bombing ferries in Cozumel isn't really Terrorism?????!!!!!!!!

What a ripoff!!! Never again do I buy travel insurance!

    Thank you for submitting your comments on your TravelSafe Classic plan. However, there are no travel insurance policies that will reimburse you if you cancel your trip due to a US State Department Advisory or Travel Warning.

    In order for you to cancel your trip due to terrorism, the “Terrorist Incident” must be determined to be "an act of violence, that is deemed terrorism by the United States Government other than civil disorder or riot (that is not an act of war, declared or undeclared) that results in loss of life or major damage to property, by any person acting alone or in association with other persons on behalf of or in connection with any organization of foreign government which is generally recognized as having the intent to overthrow or influence the control of any other foreign government."

    Although it is never pleasant to have your claim denied, please understand these policy terms are an industry standard and not limited to TravelSafe policies. AXA Assistance USA Platinum
One week after filing we received an email from AXA confirming our claim had been received and that it could be up to 30 days for a response. Six weeks later we get another email saying the claim cannot be processed without further information, they wanted a copy of an E-ticket for a rebooked flight, since there was no rebooked flight and that was made very clear in the initial claim, I can only assume that AXA was trying to deny the claim and trying to get out of paying out. After responding, they finally issued a check almost three weeks later. So total time to settle was 9-10 weeks. This was a simple claim, dealing with a flight cancellation, hotel reimbursement and alternative travel, I can't imagine how long it would take if it was more complex.
