Comprehensive plans offer the most benefits, including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption. These plans provide the best protection for the investment you have made in your trip.
The reason I gave a bad review is because I couldn't get an answer from the customer service, claim, or underwriting departments about what motorcycle activities are covered.

It's difficult to review an insurance company when one has no experience with how they handle a filed claim. However, one thing that annoyed me a great deal was my wife receiving an email from them 24 hours before our departure, stating that we had no coverage and our policy was not paid for. This was not the case, and after I read the fine print, I saw it was pretty much a "form letter" that did not apply. However, this is not a distraction one needs when packing and preparing to go on an extended trip. Although I had confidence in the company when I purchased the policy, I will probably try someone else on our next trip.

I filed a claim for lost/damaged luggage and a missed port on our recent cruise. I sent in boatloads of documentation only to be DENIED. I won't use this insurance again.

The only thing I didn't like about the plan was that I was forced to pay $400 more than I should have because I had to purchase "cancel for any reason" because I suffer from mental illness. Atlas covers for mental health l if "If I were hospitalized for 48 hours" and even at that would only get 75% back. . I recently had a depressive episode for which I received 48 ECT outpatient treatments at McClean Hospital. My psychiatrist at McLean Hospital told me that if I had a bout that necessitated canceling my trip, he would indeed submit a letter saying it was medically necessary I cancel as my illness is due to sudden chemical imbalances that happen. I was granted Social Security disability when I had to reluctantly retire from my 30 year teaching career at age 52, so this is no fake illness. In fact, I would venture to say it is illegal that I wouldn't me granted a 100% refund if I just purchased the regular insurance. In the case of my Bermuda cruise, the quote differential was from about $298 to about $698... Please tell me that when I plan my next cruise, I can get plain Medical Insurance! I am planning another cruise for Feb.

I am glad that I didn't have to use it, but this was a big expensive trip and if I couldn't have gone, or something happened, I was glad to have the option to get some of the money back.
