Purchased this plan through a third party website, which I will not do again. I will go straight to Nationwide for my needs. The third party site did not allow me access to my policy once purchased. I received an email once purchased with my policy number and that was it. I couldn’t find my policy to print it so I had to call Nationwide an ask for it to be emailed to me. Cut out the middle man and make life easier, I’m assuming purchasing directly would have also saved me a little money.

When my Mother had a stroke and soon went into Hospice and was brought home to my house, i contacted the travel insurance company to request a refund well before my trip was to start. My mother's doctor provided a letter stating I was her primary care giver. They denied my refund request. I think this is horrible, inhumane and egregious.

Easy, Quick, affordable. Cheaper than adding coverage through airlines, or travel apps. $153 for a 17 day trip, 3 cities multiple flights and a 10 day Mediterranean cruise with extraction for two 50 year olds. Best value for peace of mind that I was glad to have and hope never to have to use.

I bought a policy with Nationwide for my trip within the United States. The trip went smoothly until we started home. Our connecting flight out of Dallas was canceled due to a hurricane affecting Florida airports. My husband and I had to stay in Dallas for two nights. The agent I spoke to on the phone about making a claim was helpful. I sent receipts and verification via email and they always acknowledged receipt. They quickly let me know what else they needed, and about three weeks later I received a check for my delay costs. I would recommend this company.

This was the first time we had to file a claim for travel delays, which we had both outbound and returning. Generali's process was straightforward and the processed the outbound delay very quickly. I created a second claim for the return trip delay and that slowed things down - turns out they only allow one claim per policy, so if you have claims, do it all in one submission! But their customer service people were helpful and got it straightened out. This experience makes me definitely want to buy Generali plans again.
