My luggage was stolen off of a Flixbus in Vigo Spain. Flixbus was absolutely zero help. Nationwide Mutual was easy to navigate, they asked me a few questions about what was in the bag and I was reimbursed quickly. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is the insurer dragged its feet in paying the claim. There was a perfectly legitimate claim, properly documented in the first place, but we had to jump through many hoops to get it paid. Worse there was always as long delay after each submission, so that the entire process took almost two months. Most frustrating of all was there was never a person to speak with, so I was always left wondering if I had submitted all that was needed, or whether the company was just waiting to say my time had run out to submit something needed, so they weren't paying.

I had gotten this policy since our rental provided no refunds. But when my husband was laid off several months before our trip, I discovered that the policy only covered being laid off from your job if you had been employed at the company continuously for 3 years. Unfortunately, my husband had been a contractor for 3 months before he was hired at the company full time making his employment 3 months short of this requirement, so this policy was a waste of money.
