We tried to claim a medical evacuation when my wife was ill in Italy.It took some time to get this approved and many expensive international calls between their office in Florida and Italy , not to mention the problems with time zones.All this while my wife lay ill in Italy.
After our return, it took many weeks to get any action on our out of pocket expenses, and to receive some of them.Calls to their claims office went unanswered , and voice messages were also left unanswered. Eventually we recovered some our expenses after months.
We have used Gabrieli many times over the years, but like the saying “ you only see how good the company is when you have to make a claim”.

I always purchase travel insurance, and have had 2 minor claims that were quick and efficient.This time the claim was substantial as my husband had urgent surgery 2 days before the trip, and was medically unable to travel. Nationwide made the claim process easy, as long as I had the receipts and cancellation fees. Reimbursement took less than 1 month. I will continue to use Nationwide in the future!

I’ve purchased travel insurance from InsureMyTrip several times. Fortunately I have never had to file a claim. It gives me peace of mind to have it and it is more affordable than the plans offered by the cruise lines.

Worst trip ever ... two day delay in departure, lost luggage, minor medical expenses due to flu ... Generali did a great job processing the claims and remuneration was quick. Would definitely use Generali again!

I originally insured my trip right after I booked it. I was under the impression I insured the trip for me and my wife for the total cost for both of us. 10 days prior to the trip I realized my wife was not insured and I was insured for twice the amount of my portion of the trip. I was not allowed to modify my policy to the actual amount and was compelled to cancel and reinsure for half the original amount and as expected, purchase a new policy for my wife. In total, we got less coverage for a bunch more money. I didn't have this problem on previous trips using another company. I'll go back to the other company for our future trips.
