Fortunately my trip was uneventful: no plane crashes, no lost luggage, no delays, no fights with airline personnel. There is a lot to say for flying Business Class!

April Travel Protection Choice
I did not have to use my coverage, so until a person does have to use it, I don't know how a review can be relevant. The plan was easy to purchase and the coverage offered was better than the competing plans. I like the ease of navigating the site.

HTH Worldwide Trip Protector Classic
Nice to know that I was covered even though I did not use it this time. In the past I once had to file a claim and it was quickly dealt with. Would not travel internationally without this coverage.

April Travel Protection Choice
my trip was unexpectedly interrupted by my wife's altitude illness at 12,000 feet. April Insurance reimbursed me for my portion of the group trip costs as well as lodging costs after the interruption. However, I was unable to speak to anyone at April and they only responded via email. This lack of personal contact was disappointing. It took about 7 weeks from submission of the claim to receive our reimbursement.

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

I guess the best case scenario is that we didn't need to use it, and that's where we stand. My daughter did come back from India very sick, but it was good to know that if she had needed the coverage (got sick earlier, while she was still in India), then she had good coverage. Some of the other students in her group did get sick enough to be medically evacuated. The policy didn't cost that much, and I'm glad that we had the peace of mind.
