Generali Global Assistance Premium
I had to cancel my month-long Mongolia trip due to a medical emergency that happened 10 days before departure.

I provided Generali with ALL the medical and airfare documents they requested. They claim that they need more documents but don't spell out which ones. I've provided all airfare proof of purchase and all airfare refunds due to the cancellation. My MD filled out their forms and attached all the reports about my medical exams during the emergency.

Generali does not answer emails. Getting a hold of a human being on the phone is impossible -- talking to bots and then disconnects.

I bought the most expensive policy + service and I receive near zero response.

I have had no problems with other premier trip insurance policies from other companies.

I would not recommend Generali to anyone.

Thankfully we had no reason to submit a claim. Others on our trip had trouble with lost or late luggage delivery due to severe weather and flooding in Switzerland, but fortunately we were unaffected. I'm glad that we had the coverage because we easily could have been impacted and then would have needed the insurance. I will definitely consider purchasing C&F insurance before my next international trip.

Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare Value
Bought this very basic plan due having an elderly mother who had been in hospice care for months. She passed away 2 days before the trip was to begin. We filed the claim, provided the requested materials, and a check was deposited in less than 4 weeks. Very easy to talk to and very sympathetic to my situation. Would not hesitate to buy from this company again.

We had to cancel our cruise due to an illness in the family. I submitted my claim. They responded back in a timely manner requesting additional receipts. I sent those in and received a check in the mail in a week. Very pleased.

International Medical Group iTravelInsured Travel SE
Unfortunately we had to file a claim when on the first day of a ski trip to Colorado my wife fell injuring her knees. We sought medical attention and she was unable to resume skiing. We documented the medical visit, the cost of the unused ski passes, and reimbursement for 5 of the 9 days that we missed, having to check out of our condo early. It took some back and forth receipt documentation but eventually IMG approved our claim and sent us a check. It took several weeks which is standard for a claim but I am so glad I purchased trip insurance which when you are in your 70"s is mandatory, even at about 10% of your trip cost. Therefore, I would rate them 4 1/2 stars.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
Filed a claim when trip was cancelled due to illness. Generali was unresponsive and raised roadblock after roadblock. Eventually received airfare refund from United Airlines, not insurance company.
