We had a horrible experience with April Travel Insurance. 62 DAYS TO PROCESS OUR CLAIM AND 40 DAYS TO RECEIVE A CHECK AFTER THAT! THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO YOUR EMAILS! A missed connection resulted in us having to decide to book last minute flights to meet our ship or cancel the entire trip. We contacted April insurance immediately upon landing to ask for help, and got a voicemail asking us to leave our number and someone would call us right back. No one called us back. After rebooking flights at a huge expense, I called April and they just said to keep all our receipts. I submitted the claim right after we returned, and did not hear from them for 36 days. They contacted us twice over the next month asking for more information (none of which was requested with the initial claim) Each time a requested a status update, I received no response. Finally the emailed us that a check was being issued (which covered less than half the expenses we incurred). After not receiving the checks for 3 weeks, I contacted them to tell them they hadn't arrived. No response. I contacted them 5 times over the next 3 weeks, I got no responses to email, and when I called, kept being told they someone would take care of it, and never received a follow up call. The customer service is horrible. I wasn't questioning the claim, just asking them to reissue a check, and that took another 3 weeks! DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. By the way, I still don't actually have my checks, they assure me that are re-issued and "in the mail"

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing, explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
