As a long time user of insure my trip this is only the second claim I have made, both claims were for trip interruption. The process was quick and fair. I wrongly assumed they only difference was the amount of coverage, this one only pays for what you spent and we were not reimbursed not the obvious extra costs involved in a trip interruption. I think insure my trip should do a better job of breakdown in there compare plans view because you are not comparing apples to apples.

It was a good feeling to know that we were covered during our trip. I do have question about the plan. If included would the plan cover any excursions purchased on the cruise. A suggestion, it might be worth reminding vendors to make travellers aware of the need to purchase insurance as soon as they put a deposit down.

You can include the cost of any excursions as long as the expense is prepaid and non-refundable. If you book the excursion after you purchase the policy, you should call us at 800-487-4722 to advise us of the increase in trip cost so that we can quote you the additional amount due, if any.
You are correct in stating that travelers should be aware that most travel medical providers include the preexisting condition waiver if the plan is purchased within 10 to 30 days of the Initial Trip Payment. Although there are some plans that go by Final Payment, their cost is generally higher than those plans that go by Initial Trip Payment.Sep 05,2016

We have never needed this before. This year we rented from private party who did not offer insurance. I was uneasy about that because you never know what might come up 2 or 3 months down the road. I found your website on line and felt price was good for what was included. We never needed to use it which is great but it gave us peace of mind that it was available. If we needed it we would definitely use again.

We had to cancel a trip at the last minute due to health problems. Everyone a RoamRight was extremely helpful and efficient. My claim was processed quickly and within 2 weeks I had a refund for the trip.

Never used the plan but it's the third time I've bought the same plan for 3 diff. trips as it provides the basic coverage I need (cancel due to sickness/unforeseen circumstance and I have peace of mind). I'll continue to buy this plan for future trips as well, for the low % of total cost, it's well worth it to me so I don't panic if my kid gets a sniffle 2 days before a flight.

As we sat on a Delta plane in Amsterdam that was delayed in the first hour of the computer outage, I realized the RoamRight plan wouldn't help us with this problem, but if we had been stranded for days, it might have. I didn't take the time to research these details once we were home safely!
