The Preferred plan is a comprehensive travel insurance plan offered by Arch RoamRight and has several options not offered on the Arch RoamRight Essential plan, allowing for a more customizable product. In addition to trip cancellation and delay, the Preferred plan offers coverage for one child per paid adult, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, trip interruption, medical and evacuation coverage, and 24/7 assistance.

We had a small claim ($600) for travel interruption. It was settled in about 30 days for the full amount, with no problems.

Thank God I didn’t have to use it but it was nice to know I had it. The only thing that could make it better is having it in effect until you leave. If your boss said the day before, you can’t go, then it would not cover you.

The best kind of insurance.......didn't need it even though I crashed my bike and almost ended up in a roadway section of newly poured concrete.

I won't travel without insurance and must have a policy that includes pre-existing conditions but travel insurance is so very expensive.

If you want a plan that covers you when things go wrong, this is NOT THE ONE. RoamRight refused compensation of any kind when we missed our connection (foreign port of entry) due to an extremely long line in immigration. This was absolutely not of our making. The airline refused to accommodate, cancelled the remainder of our tickets and left us stuck having to buy new tickets for onward travel. You would think this situation is PRECISELY what trip insurance is for, but if you purchased RoamRIght you would be mistaken. RoamRight has disclaimed all responsibility and paid out $0. DO NOT USE.

Keep in mind, a plan is only as good as the service provided WHEN a claim is filed. Things were great on the sales front-end and fortunately, I didn’t have to experience the back-end process! Trip was great without a problem!! Will keep using your service for upcoming travel!!

This review really had no weight. I did not use the plan. It seemed to cover me, but I have NO idea if filing a claim would have been easy or difficult or even successful.
I will say that your people were very helpful and I am inclined to use you again.
And BTW, the reviews for this insurance plan are uneven to say the least.
