Our trip to the Bahamas was impacted by the Delta fiasco in April 2017 and our trip was delayed by 3 days -- not an easy thing with two young kids. We filed a trip delay claim and it was paid promptly, actually must faster than I expected. First time I ever bought trip insurance and will do it every trip now.

It seemed to have good coverage at a good price. I did not have to use it however, so I am not sure how the customer service or ease of getting reimbursed would be.

Since there were 10 of us to insure, I was always nervous to think that that many might not all be able to make the trip like we were supposed to. This was the first time I've used April Travel Protection and we had to file a claim and change the entire trip 8 days prior to departure due to continued terriost attacks in London. It took a few emails and forwarding of numerous documents but within 60 days the claim was processed and I was sent a check for the purchase of my original trip as well as the cancellation charges. I highly recommend April Travel Protection.

Luckily, we didn't need to use the plan, because nothing went wrong. But it was great to have the piece of mind knowing that if something had occurred, it would be covered.
