You just never know when you plan for a trip if something could happen where you could lose a lot of money. I felt it was necessary to insure my trip because this was a major cost to me and I wanted to make certain I was covered for every aspect of my trip. I had a wonderful vacation, worry free, knowing that if something got 'botched' during my trip that it was covered. It is definitely worth the cost to have a worry free trip.

We were very satisfied with the price for the coverage for most items, such as luggage and health emergencies. We nearly needed to stay overnight in Russia with no way home due to an airline error they didn't want to cover. My coverage for trip delays was only $200. That would have been inadequate, but better than nothing and delays happen all the time. At $600 to cover a $15K trip, the plan was worth the cost and I'd buy it again.
