As I have mentioned before when I've done these reviews - it's pretty hard for me to tell you that I'm satisfied when thankfully I've never had to file a claim. That's when I would really find out if I was happy.

As my ratings indicate, I was extremely satisfied with the insurance. Unfortunately, I did have to file a claim for medical treatment (for food poisoning) which included a brief hospitalization. I was meticulous about obtaining and then submitting all records and receipts and as your insurance promised, we were reimbursed in full in a very timely fashion. We also found your reps to be very helpful in directing us as to how to file the claim and in clearly answering all questions. While it would have been much better not to have become ill abroad, I very much appreciated that you were there for us, as promised. I would not travel outside the US without first obtaining health insurance through InsureandGo and I will recommend you to anyone who asks about foreign travel insurance. Thank you.

In general, the timing of purchasing a Comprehensive travel insurance policy does not impact how much the policy costs. In contrast, the timing of purchasing travel insurance greatly impacts the number of benefits available. You can purchase most policies up until the day before departure. However, the best time to purchase travel insurance is right after you put money down towards your trip to maximize its value. Some policies include time sensitive benefits which are but not limited to pre-existing condition waiver, financial default, Cancel For Any Reason and Cancel For Work Reasons. Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 30 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid non refundable trip costs to receive these time sensitive benefits.
