The plan was quite reasonable for 2 travelers of our age. The coverage looked to be very adequate if we needed to use it. The peace of mind was worth the premium. We talked with others on the same cruise who paid far more money for less coverage. We highly recommended your website.

We did not have to file any claims, so we really cannot say how good or bad the InsureAssist TravCan coverage would have been, nor how easy it would have been to file a claim. Probably we will not personally endorse TravCan because of this, as we just don't know the quality of the product and level of customer care. However, we would go with this company again, though, as we assume all would have been handled satisfactorily.

Thankfully, all of our elderly relatives stayed healthy and we were not forced to use the insurance policy. However, we did think that it was affordable compared to the option that the travel company offered.

First, I choose a plan on the most catastrophic risk: having to be medically transported home. I called one of the companies that provides air ambulance service to ask what a typical trans-Atlantic transport would cost. Secondarily, I looked at some of the more likely losses such as reimbursement for trip delay, baggage loss and baggage delay.
