we deliberately bought a plan in case of trip interruption but when we almost missed our connection due to a strike by Air France Traffic Control we found in the small print - that we had not seen in the summary at time of purchase online - that the $5000 coverage we thought we had only applied in the case of the death of a relative or our house burning down!!!!!!! ridiculous!!!! not at all what is normally understood by trip interruption. Next time I will call a broker and go through what is available line by line. I no longer trust your summaries and am just grateful that we managed to make our connection.

Hey, this is a great insurance carrier. I primarily use them since I am an American living abroad with only insurance coverage in a few select locations. My only complaint is that it is really difficult to extend coverage--even if your travel dates change before takeoff.
