We always insure our trips through InsureMyTrip. This time was a little different because there was an ongoing medical condition meaning we needed to get a policy with "Cancel for any Reason" coverage. It was of course more costly than if we did not need that benefit, but we felt better having the policy. The best part was that we were able to take the trip and had no problems!

I loved the possibility I was covered if my daughter had her twins before the scheduled trip. She had them 3 days after I arrived home. I knew it would be close so I needed the insurance.

Fortunately, we did not have any claims against the policy, but I was reminded of the importance of trip insurance several times during our cruise. We witnessed at least five medical emergencies from the start until the end of the trip. Someone was taken from the ship by ambulance before we left the pier, twice during the trip and again when we returned to Florida. We also saw a helicopter evacuation during our final day at sea. I can't imagine the costs involved, but the price of comprehensive trip insurance is small in comparison. It makes your trip more relaxing when you know this type expense is covered.

You have to be aware to purchase the policy early enough to obtain coverage for pre-existing conditions. The plan provided coverage that I needed, at a reasonable price compared to other plans.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. For the Seven Corners Roundtrip Choice plan, the Pre-Existing Conditions exclusion is waived if the traveler purchases the policy within ten days of the initial deposit, and insures the full cost of the trip.Feb 14,2015

I chose somewhat expensive for the plan cost question. Its no reflection on your company. I think all the travel company insurance premiums are way too expensive.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Premium for comprehensive plans are calculated based on: trip cost, trip length, and travelers ages. Also, the Seven Corners Roundtrip Choice offers an optional Cancel For Any Reason benefit, for which you did pay additional premium.Feb 02,2015

1) You must purchase the policy within 10 days of making the initial trip payment.
2) You must insure the full pre-paid and non-refundable trip cost.
3) The trip must be canceled more than 2 days prior to the scheduled departure date.
If the insured cancels their trip for an event such as attending a childbirth, illness of a pet or friend, or political or civil unrest, the Seven Corners Roundtrip Choice plan's Cancel For Any Reason will reimburse 75% percent of the pre-paid and non-refundable trip cost.
