We had a potential medical claim which never materialized. I contacted a representative who initially gave me misinformed information concerning coverage. It was a most disconcerting experience. Cost of coverage was an issue.

It was great to be able to insure an in-country trip that involved many different vendors. We were traveling with various carriers and using different excursion providers, all with different cancellation rules, and this plan made us very comfortable. We knew that no matter what part of the Alaska SE Inland Passage we were visiting on our own, or how varied our activities were, we would have coverage that worked for us.

How good is Seven Corners? For me, it's excellent. While pressing the right buttons on the website and selecting a company and policy that fits you is important, filing a claim is what really counts. My wife and I are retired and take three to four big trips annually and always get insurance. In the summer of 2014, we planned a ten day trip to Maui, a Caribbean cruise for the fall and a month in Maui in Jan-Feb. We then lived everyone's nightmare. On Sept 18th of 2014, our 38 year old daughter, who is a single parent that lives near us, was diagnosed with breast cancer. We knew all trips were off and our role as a parent and grandparent was greatly expanded. I filled out the all the Seven Corners paperwork with the doctors statement, visa statement, airline statements and turned in the first claim. It's important when filing a claim to think of the person who will handle it for Seven Corners. Unfortunately, there are dishonest people out there who will try to commit insurance fraud. Thus I knew I needed to be complete. Within a few weeks I received a check for all of my losses. Not having to fight with an insurance company was great, I don't know if I would have had the energy.

We arrived in Italy for a cruise a day early, but our luggage didn't arrive with us. However, the luggage did arrive on the ship just before sailing the following day. Having this coverage helped us keep our stress level under control. The peace of mind it provided before and after the trip was definitely well worth the premium. We filed a claim for our expenses, under the Baggage Delay benefit and provided the necessary paperwork and explanation. The claim was approved and we received reimbursement within three weeks. Very pleased with Customer Service Department and Claims Department. Very satisfied with this plan. Would recommend highly.

I encourage every traveler to purchase travel insurance. My favorite company to recommend is InsureMyTrip. You never know when you might have an insurance need. Most travelers do not realize what the cost is for emergency medical care. For a few dollars, travel insurance eliminates a lot of headaches. In 2014, we had to cancel our trip due to an emergency surgery. The insurance provider recommended by InsureMyTrip reimbursed our full travel investment.

I didn't have to use it.....the best type of insurance policy!
Who knows how the protection element would have worked if an emergency occurred. In the past I did have small claim (trip delay) and it was handled well.

I’m sorry that you’re upset but I listened to the phone call that you referenced in your post and while I did hear the representative give you incorrect information, I also heard him apologize and advise as to the correct benefits immediately afterwards. The representative was also very accommodating in advising of locations of medical facilities that were at your disposal.
