Didn't have to use the plan - thank goodness. But we came close - We were having dinner on a patio (in South Africa) when our daughter felt a something move against her shoe. She looked down and saw a 5 foot snake slithering over her foot. It was a Puff Ader Viper - the snake that causes the most deaths in Africa.

I have never had to file a claim, but based on the information provided by Travelex Insurance, the plan covers all the possible disasters I could have encountered.
I have purchased Travelex for previous trips and feel comfortable each time I use it.

I am an expatriate from Canada who is living in the U.S. on a work visa. I was travelling to Jamaica and needed to get some health insurance that would cover me. The cost of this week's insurance is more than I pay for a year of better coverage when leaving Canada and it was not quite absolutely reassuring that this plan would for sure cover me if something did happen.

With regards to your concern about the Travel Select coverage, the InsureMyTrip.com website allows you to compare the benefits, coverages, and rates of the insurance plans offered.
The Travel Select protection plan that you choose is not health insurance, but rather travel protection that provides coverage for Trip Cancellation (Trip Cost was insured) , Trip Interruption, Trip Delay, Baggage/Baggage Delay and more.
The Travel Select Description of Coverage is available, on the InsureMyTrip.com website, to view, prior to purchasing. It was also emailed to you, along with the Confirmation of Coverage, at the time of purchase on February 4, 2017 at 12:35am. The Description of Coverage is a summary of the plan details, which includes the benefits, coverages, limitations, and exclusions.

I have used this plan twice for mountaineering trips because it has the fewest exclusions and the most important accident and illness coverage, including emergency evacuation, that I have been able to find for comparable price.
