I went on a vacation and had some unfortunate medical issues. The emergency provider, On-Call is horrible and they bury you in paperwork instead of trying to help you.
TravelEx Claim Administration is no better. I filed 2 separate claims and provided all the documentation and now 1 month later I have not received any payment or information. I called to follow up and I was told someone would call me but noone did.
They did string me along, making partial payments until I persisted..
Finally 4 months later and several faxes and mailings later, the claim was settled, not exactly an easy process but I did get 95% of the claim reimbursed..

We had a rather complex claim as my sister became ill on Dominica with three separate medical visits and 3 days to get home. However after figuring out how to fill out the forms wiht all receipts of course insurance paid promptly and were easily available for questions on the phone. Very pleased.

I was disturbed to discover that my stolen prescription glasses were not covered and asked for the name and address of the Travelex president. I was told they could not supply this, but would take my information for a callback, which I never received. If this is your kind of customer relations, I can only guess how any claim would be handled. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your review even though you expressed disappointment when dealing with Travelex. However, we are sorry to say that prescription glasses are excluded under Baggage Loss in all travel insurance plans. Even if you had purchased a plan other than Travelex, you would not have had coverage for prescription glasses.Mar 29,2016

Fortunately we experienced no travel problems so are unable to comment on the claim process. We did find the overall purchase experience painless and would use Travelex in the future if we find ourselves in need of travel insurance.

I have more piece of mind believing Travelex will be at my side if a problem occurs during my travels. I particularly like the assistance that would come, I would hope, if my flight was delayed more than 5 hours.

Thankfully we didn't need to use it, but it made me feel better to have it. Cheaper than the insurance the cruise line offered, and better coverage. I'd use it again!

Good afternoon. I did not have any problems during this trip so I will be brief. I would like to see a plan where once a claim was not submitted 10-20% of the premium can be refunded. Otherwise, the value is just not really there. The ship did not allow my daughter to participate in the Teen Center because she turned 18 on December 10, 2015 and the teen center was for children 13-17. Also, if my child has intellectual disability but she is high functioning she should have been allowed to have fun and make friends in their room for 13-17 year olds. I spoke to 7 employees on this ship and still the answer was I'm sorry Ms. Quartey, that is the policy. Meanwhile their no smoking policy was being broken every night in the Casino. Go figure.
