A passenger did require to be taken off the ship by helicopter while we were at sea. When I saw that, I was glad that I had paid for the insurance.
Be sure to get Passports for minors, even if the cruise line does not require them. They would need them for an emergency air flight home.

We always purchase travel insurance when we cruise, but have never needed or used it, but like the peace of mind it gives us. Almost every cruise we hear of someone needing medical/transport so we will always purchase this insurance just in case.

It's usually a little bittersweet to have insurance you don't use, and it's by far the best thing to do when traveling. Insuremytrip does a great job of helping customers figure out which plan is best; I'm glad we bought what we did, and we'll be back for our next trips!

Really not pleased with the lost luggage component of the policy, when our luggage was lost for 4 days. I really felt the after hours staff had no compassion, was less than helpful and lacked a customer service approach. We had, after all, paid for the insurance.

Knowing I am covered for all possible events made my 3 week trip a lot more relaxing. Not having needed it was an added bonus. I will recommend to friends and use again when needed.
