I found the cost and coverage of this plan to be to my liking. It was not necessary to utilize the plan but for the value, I believe it was well worth the investment.

Actually I wonder about my buying plans as I got sick while traveling and thought it best to return home but could not easily determine how to do it. As it was I got drugstore meds (not recommended by local Drs here) and survived. So I wonder.

While traveling, it is advised that you have the 24/7 emergency assistance phone number provided by the insurance company with you so that if you run into a situation such as this, you can contact the insurance company for advice about how to proceed in seeking medical assistance.Apr 16,2014

I did not have occasion to use the plan I purchased but it was worth it for peace of mind, particularly after seeing the hospital in Granada, Nicaragua. From the outside, it appeared to be a bit on the "outback clinic" side of healthcare although it could easily have been state of the art on the interior. If a major injury or illness would have occurred, having the insurance would have helped.

We were toying with bad weather coming home. We didn't know if the flight was to be cancelled and we would have to stay in Florida another day or two. boo hoo! It was nice to know that we had YOU backing us up just in case. I wouldn't buy anywhere else but InsureMyTrip!!! You give peace of mind and it's so easy to get what you need.

I have been traveling Internationally for more than 30 years and used travel insurance many times. This is the first claim I have ever filed, due to a family member being place in hospice. I was very displeased with the claims process. I was given bad info twice on the claim when I was trying to dot every "I" and cross every "T" to make sure the claim was processed promptly. As a result the process was bogged down and payment held up, Kudos to InsureMyTrip as they have advocates on staff and the advocate got this in gear for payment.
