I did not receive medical care or need reimbursement for any medical costs while in New Zealand. However, I sprained my ankle while there and every contact number provided, international included, was not in service. I have international coverage and no problems with any other contacts except every phone number provided with this plan. I had several questions regarding my coverage while on vacation and unable to reach any customer service to get those questions answered. Very disappointed.

We are so sorry to hear about your sprained ankle while traveling, and how frustrating it must have been for you to not be able to get through for assistance. The phone number labeled “Collect” on the ID card is the number to call when outside of the US, and we do not see that there were any issues with the number, but will keep looking into it to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.Apr 13,2023

It took altogether too long to process the claim. There is no way to even see where it stands. An email to customer service took a long time for a response.

I wish there was an option to cancel the insurance plan at least a month in advance. I canceled my trip and luckily was able to get all my money back or a credit. I didn't need the insurance. I understand not canceling insurance at the last minute, but a 30 day in advance could be possible.

I did not have to make a claim for this particular trip, but I DID have to make one for a trip I insured with them last fall. The submission process was easy, and although I had to submit all of my paperwork twice for some reason, I was reimbursed for all of my expenses within a reasonable time. I wouldn't hesitate to use Trawick again to insure a trip.

I almost always purchase Trawick when I travel, and this is one of the rare instances where I actually used it. The online portal is easy to use, I reached a person quickly when I called with a clarification question, and my reimbursement check was delivered in a couple weeks -- the full amount requested, no hassle.
