Unfortunately, our trip had to be cancelled. But, we filed a claim and they came through for us!
We booked in March for an upcoming June trip. Unfortunately, at the end of April one of our travel companions became seriously ill and ended up in the Intensive Care. Long story short, the doctor would not permit him to travel in his condition.
So, I called Tru Travel about the situation and I actually talked to someone in the US, not offshore! The representatives were extremely friendly and pleasant to work with. They provided me with the necessary forms, including one page for the doctor to complete. Once the paperwork was done, I simply mailed it to the required address.
Within 15 days we had our reimbursement.
This was the first time ever that I had to submit a travel claim. Based on my experience, I would definitely choose Tru Travel again.

Honestly, because i didn't have to file a claim....can't say one way or the other as to weather the coverage was good. But that is probably a good thing (Insurance unused means trip went smoothly).

Have purchased a plan yearly when traveling to Canada for a relatively fair price. Fortunately we have not had to use it, but it has certainly given us peace of mind.

I did not have to make a claim on my policy, but it was a security to know that I had it and that it would cover me in the event that I had problems. I will definitely use Insure My Trip again for travel insurance!
