Easy, clear coverage explanation. Reasonable additional coverage for any or no reason cancellation. Better any or no reason cancellation percentage than other plans. Gave 4 stars for less than 100% any or no reason refund but Inunderstand that after age 65 there is greater risk. Price is super for scope of coverage overall

I tried to call the toll free number to inquire about a claim and it was a non-working number. I resorted to a live chat online and they told me to call the toll free number, which wasn't in service. Fortunately, I did not end up having to file a claim which was a good thing since I could not call the toll free number.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip because our beloved cat got terribly ill less than a week before we were to leave. Since I cannot find any trip insurance that covers pet illness/emergencies as a covered reason for canceling or interrupting a trip (which I do not understand as pets are family members and they can have emergencies too), I always look for the "cancel for any reason" benefit on policies, and this one also had the "interrupt for any reason" benefit. Luckily we realized we had to cancel in enough time to be covered as I found out that even though we had "cancel for any reason" coverage, if it had been less than two days (I think) before the beginning of our trip we wouldn't have been covered, so check your policy details for this "hole" in coverage time. I believe that there are some gaps in time for "interrupt for any reason," too.
At any rate, when I called C&F they were very responsive, helpful, and pleasant. I was able to email them all of the documents they needed for my claim and I got a nice phone call several weeks later letting me know the claim was approved and the check was on its way. I ended up buying the exact same policy when we re-booked our trip after our kitty passed away since we had a good experience with this company.

My rating is on the ease of purchase and peace of mind having the insurance. I fortunately didn’t have the need to file a claim, so I cannot rate on that side of things.

One of the best things about Trip Insurance is the peace of mind it brings even if you don’t need it. Fortunately, everything went smoothly on our trip - which was a cruise - and there’s no need to file a claim. With that in mind, we wouldn’t plan an overseas trip without this safety net. C & F provided a great plan at a reasonable price and we’d use them again.

Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
Had to file claim - to get refund on the cost of unplanned airfare that we had to buy due to airline rerouted our plane and they couldn’t provide timely return home. Part of our party had plan with C&F and part with Axa. Those that had C&F ended up getting money back faster. Claim processed fast, check sent. Easier than other place to open claim online and ability to check status online. Other company didn’t have this option.
Will now be switching to C&F insurance for our future travel.
