We didn't need to submit a claim for this trip, but on our last trip, our luggage was delayed for five days, so we had to go out and buy some replacement clothing. We used the same company on that trip, and they were quick to reimburse us for our expenses once we submitted the claim with receipts.

The survey isn't exactly an honest account of what the insurance meant to us: i.e. we never had to use it but paid dearly for it and also had, with the HUGE cost of the policy, still some "restrictions" should we have had to use it. I have a great idea, that MIGHT help you get more clients...if someone, like us buys the "covers all/cancel without penalties" policy for over 1200.00 a person, for such a short time...if the client does not use it, then a reimbursement of some kind would be nice...even a small amount otherwise it is pretty expensive.

I think that I may have been overcharged a bit. I booked bargain priced airfare early and wanted 'cancel for any reason' insurance. When the itinerary was finalized months later, the bulk of the expense was either not paid, or only non refundable as the trip got close. Calling the insurance company, not the brokerage, I was advised to add these expenses to the policy - which I did. I now think I need not have insured these expenses.

Not a big deal to me at this time and probably my fault for not paying attention, but I thought I should mention it.

The process to purchase was easy. I also found the reminder emails and the accessibility of the policy to be comforting and a demonstration of good customer service. I cannot comment on the claim process as we did not need to file one, but overall I found the purchase and customer service side to be good.

InsureMyTrip was easy to use to obtain travel insurance for myself and 4 family members. I really liked the mobile app, too, which made it very easy to find the phone number of the insurer when we had a health emergency. Customer service agents were knowledgeable and helpful.

I had a minor injury while on our trip that required stitches in the emergency room in Israel. C&F Travel Insured International sent instructions and forms very quickly, which enabled me to complete the form and provide all of the required documentation when I got home. The Insurer responded quickly and reimbursed me for all of the accrued medical expenses without a problem. Wonderful service and experience.

I usually buy a moderately cheap trip insurance, mostly for fear of baggage getting lost by the airline company. Well on our recent 2.5 week camping trip to Canada it came in EXTREMELY helpful. Not only did Air Canada cancel our flight for our return home, but we hit a deer with our rental car. Air Canada would not cover our cost for 1 night in a hotel or the fact that we now were rebooked the next day to an airport over an hour away from our home. We were out the cost of a hotel, meals, and a car service for transportation from DC to Baltimore (not to mention the enormous headache this caused). I kept all receipts and was fully reimbursed the expenses for my travel delay. Still waiting to hear back from Avis regarding our rental car, but that claim is in the works as well. This reaffirms for me that I will ALWAYS buy trip insurance and I will now always select this company due to my positive experience. I highly recommend! Just be diligent with your record keeping should you need to file a claim so that you can have smooth claim processing. It is always good to plan for the unforeseen!!

This trip insurance policy proved to be a waste of money. I had used this company before, but this was the first time I had ever tried to make a claim. I had a dental emergency and was unable to take my connecting flight home due to the cabin pressure making the pain unbearable on the first leg of my journey home. I rang Customer Service who indicated that I would be covered under the interrupt for any reason clause of the policy for my family and I staying in a hotel overnight and meals. I immediately went to the ER and was given antibiotics and an injection for the pain as it was the evening and all dentists were shut, and I ended up seeing an emergency dentist the next day. I had a fractured tooth and jaw bone infection. Under the dental listing on my policy it stated that I would be covered up to $750.

Well nearly two weeks later after submitting loads of paper work and receipts that were requested my claims were denied. Guess what, apparently interrupt for any reason didn't actually cover my emergency overnight accommodation and meals at all, their agent had been misinformed. I was very lucky in that my flight carrier changed my flights at no extra charge so I was able to resume my travel home at no extra expense. Then apparently dental only covers 'natural teeth' and as the tooth that started it all had a crown on it was not covered. FYI, any tooth that has had any type of work on it, filling etc. is no longer considered a natural tooth so isn't covered. I paid more for what I had hoped would be a good policy, but in the end it literally didn't cover me for anything at all when i needed it.

Overall, good service with a product that was well explained and results were as promised. I would use this company again.

Kate T, the CT Claim Analyst, was very pleasant to work with. She has a nice communication style and was helpful and honest.

The only problem is that it took a longer time to get the claim processed than was stated by the company.

I had a claim for $50 for damage to the luggage. The insurer asked for the same items multiple times.I will most likely not use this insurer again.
