Worldwide Trip Protector Gold IS NOT the cheapest plan available, and it is relatively expensive. However, compared to many other plans, it is the best. It is PRIMARY, not secondary insurance, meaning, it does not require you to file a claim with your homeowners insurance and exhaust those benefits BEFORE you file with the trip insurer. Doing so in CA would be a very good way to see your HO premium skyrocket, or be refused renewal. So, when used, it will turn out to be one of the LEAST expensive plans, which is why you buy insurance in the first place.

The car hire companies in the UK do not accept the car rental insurance included in this plan. I had to purchase further coverage when I picked up the car.

I am happy that I did not have to use the plan, but I was reassured knowing we had it. We plan to use trip insurance for future trips of any type, and will certainly consider Travel Insured plans again.

Very pleased with the prompt resolution of my claim. I would use them again and even my friend said she would too as her travel insurance paid a lot less than Travel Insured and we were on the same flight from Europe that was cancelled due to an airline strike. Thanks Travel Insured!!

Had to file a claim using CFAR. The claim was paid exactly as promised with no problems or runarounds. Everything was handled electronically. Received a check within about 2 weeks. Great, friendly service. I highly recommend.

"Depending on location, there are several places that will require the traveler who is renting a car to take the insurance offered. Our rental car benefit can still be used cover deductibles, and anything above what the amount that the rental company will cover.
