Travel insurance prices have GREATLY increased since COVID. We always get the travel insurance for large trips like this safari but this year the costs of the travel insurance have increased significantly.
We have only put in a claim for travel insurance 1x in a dozen safari trips to Africa (and that was for only a mere $100 +/- claim for a hotel when our flight was delayed). At over $2600 for the insurance we could have put that money aside for a future trip. I think the price has gotten out of hand. Not sure if I will continue to use travel insurance in the future - or maybe I will use it only for a fraction of the trip costs.

On the surface the plan appeared to cover what we needed. We did not have to file a claim, so I can't really speak about how good the company/plan was. Price was reasonable though.

This plan perfectly meet all of my needs and covered my biggest concern (aeromedical evacuation) very thoroughly. Thankfully, I did not need to file a claim but the peace of mind that it helped provide, made the policy worth every penny.

We don't have any major medical issues but decided to purchase insurance just in case. We didn't need to use the insurance on the trip but it was a relief knowing it was there if we needed it. Will use again in the future since the price was good.

I cancelled my trip prior to departure and any final cruise payments due to serious illness. The process to transfer this medical coverage was complicated and therefore we lost the $ .
