The only problem she had was her wallet was stolen while in LA. We found a way to get her home, but, is there any way you folks could have helped also??

    You could have called CSA Travel Protection 24 Assistance. Your policy offered 24 Emergency Assistance Services which included "Emergency Cash Transfer":

    "If your cash or traveler’s checks are lost or stolen, or unanticipated emergency expenses are incurred, the assistance provider will help arrange for an emergency cash transfer in currency, traveler’s checks, or other forms as deemed acceptable by the assistance provider. The assistance provider will advance up to $500 after satisfactory guarantee of reimbursement from you."

    Please also note that there would be no coverage under any of our policies including your CSA Custom plan for the theft of cash or traveler's checks.

Generali Global Assistance Standard
We've always insured our vacation trips using CSA and could not be more satisfied. In 2016 our trip to South Carolina was covered when it was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. This year we planned a trip to Hilton Head Island S.C. and had peace of mind knowing we were covered by CSA when Hurricane Irma hit. Fortunately, we still had a great vacation and did not have to file a claim. Even so, it was great having peace of mind knowing we were covered by CSA leading up to the storm. We will never travel without insuring our trips with CSA first!

Insurance is always something you hope you won't have to use and once the trip is done and enjoyed you wonder if you really needed to spend that money. I do this because once I had a trip planned and had to cancel. Your company was very easy to work with and the coverage was complete. I bought the insurance to hedge my bet so to speak. I didn't need to file a claim and I hope that I don't again, but I will continue buying trip insurance from you because one never knows and you were great to work with twice when we did have to file a claim.

Generali Global Assistance Premium
My laggage was misplaced for 3 days on my return home. CSA when very slow in replying to my claim. In the end CSA washed their hands of my claim and are now refusing to pay my claim. I am very disappointed in this outcome and will never use CSA in any up coming travel.

    The CSA Custom Luxe will provide coverage for Baggage Delay in the event your delay occurs during your trip.

    "We will reimburse you, up to the amount shown in the Schedule, for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles purchased by you, if your Baggage is delayed for 12 hours or more during your Trip."

    Since your baggage delay occurred on your return flight home, coverage would not apply as you are home and would not need to purchase additional clothing or personal articles.

I really needed The insurance because we have an elderly family member and I wanted to make sure that if anything happened with me covered. So I wish we could've gotten something a little less expensive but otherwise I was happy with that

Thank you for your service. I want that confidence stress free knowledge that I'm covered incase something goes wrong enabling me not to complete my planed trip. I always thought that after I had purchase my trip I only had 10 days to purchase your insurance. Went many times without insurance due to me believing this. Glad I was informed that wasn't true.

I would like a plan that offers hurricane coverage ONLY when you are traveling by car .
I feel like I'm paying for things I'd never use like: Baggage coverage,Baggage delay, Air Flight Accident, Missed Connection etc. If I'm traveling by car so many of these coverages do not apply to my trip, and I'm paying for unnecessary coverage. Customer Service was very pleasant and helpful.

We have purchased CSA Travel protection for the past 5 summer vacations. Last year we had a family tragedy 3 days before our departure date and needed to cancel our vacation and file a claim. I was anticipating this being a hassle and needing to jump through hoops but the complete opposite was true. The people I dealt with were incredibly compassionate while helping me understand what the documents/information they needed to complete our claim. Once the documentation was submitted, the process was very quick and we had our refund check in a very short time frame. As part of the claim process, the owner of the home we had rented from was contacted to verify some information - she told me that the person from CSA who called her was also incredibly sensitive to our situation and very compassionate. She was very impressed and has recommended CSA to other travelers, as have I. I would never consider taking a vacation without purchasing this insurance. It is a small price to pay to have peace of mind that unexpected events won't cause financial hardship on top of the stress.
