Very helpful staff to assist me in what I needed for my trip to Italy and Sicily. I was given several options to choose from, to fit my budget.
I felt confident that if a problem arose, I would be covered, and would have good support.

I purchased a plan on January 29th, but after the initial coronavirus outbreak at the end of February, and prior to any quarantines in Italy, we rebooked our planned trip to go to a destination outside of Europe. Every hotel and the airlines provided immediate support - but I could not get in contact with Generali for over two weeks. I tried phone calls (where I was told there would be call backs within 3 hours) and emails (with no responses). Even InsureMyTrip could not get a response from Generali (on at least 5 different attempts through our March 6 departure). I ended up buying a backup emergency evacuation plan from another vendor on March 6 because "it was too late to duplicate the original plan with another vendor because of the timing of our new departure." I finally heard from Generali with a revision confirmation letter on March 9 "confirming our policy" with no evidence of the actual destination. Because of this experience, I feel it necessary to avoid Generali for all intents and purposes in the future.

The price was reasonable for the coverage and provided peace-of-mind for the travel. I plan to use the same insurance company for future travel as the coverage options fit my travel style (and again hope that I don't have to make a claim).

This was the first time I took out trip insurance--so I was winging it. I did compare several companies and their offerings. Yours seemed reasonable and straight forward. I did call customer service and they answered my questions -- eased my concerns. Did not need to file any claims as the Trip was pretty un-eventful from an issue perspective. The Trip, however, was awesome... Thank you...

My wife became ill while in Croatia. She visited a shipboard medical and received some medications at a modest cost. A later visit would have required a significant cost should she have chosen to pursue further treatment. The cost was not a factor affecting her decision because it would have been fully covered by the insurance coverage we had purchased. My wife declined further treatment as we decided to wait until our voyage terminated. Peace of mind is a great thing to have.
