It's hard to comment on this coverage when I (fortunately) did not need it. I primarily purchased the coverage for the event of a medical emergency...and my wife and I stayed healthy & passed all the covid tests required to travel.

I cancelled the cruise that this policy was for.
I requested to use the premium on insurance for another cruise that I had previously booked and paid for.

Was told I could only use it for the voucher I received for the recently canceled trip and a new booking.

I have no plans for a new booking in the immediate future because of uncertainties of COVID .

I will not ever again use Insure My Trip to purchase travel insurance.

The Government shut down travel to Ireland. This company refused to return my $400+ premium because of their 10 day free look period. All was well at ten days but ended the trip after that. No cooperation from this company on returning the premium. I would recommend no one do buisness with this company!

You really are money grabbers, that's all that matters. You know the trip was cancelled, yet send a message asking about the trip. Your mission statement must be: we have their premium, now do everything to avoid paying a claim. We filed, you knew you would not cover covid, we were sent jumping through hoops, then denied the claim. Mission accomplished! We will discourage any and all from generali.

However, our plans can help if you are diagnosed with Coronavirus before or during your trip. You just need to meet the standard requirements for coverage due to sickness, and our plans can assist you with Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Medical & Dental, and Emergency Assistance & Transportation. It is important that you review your Description of Coverage, which are available before and after your purchase. We take the claims process very seriously and want our customers to make informed choices when purchasing travel insurance."
